With KGV looking somewhat like a First World War battlefield, it did not look like we were in for a free flowing game of rugby; however, all things considered both teams tried to play good rugby. Garioch kicked of the first half with the elements in their favour and they looked to take advantage early n the first half. It did not take too long for them to get their noses in front. click here for full report

Firstly I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, especially all the players who have played a key part in what is a development season. With a squad of young players who are in some cases playing their first season of 1st team rugby results are promising. A lot of hard work has gone in but a lot more is required as we play the reverse fixtures and hopefully continue the run in the plate competition. click here for full article

Yet again a game that could have gone either way and with the narrow loss last week this defeat was another hard lesson in ensuring tackles are made and support in defence is consistent for the 80 minutes. With late call offs and the availability of the front row Kinross saw the early but welcome return of Stewart Mullan but with Keith Tolson moving into the front row and the old man (coach) on the bench! Kinross slow start ultimately cost them the game with Crieff gifted early tries. Straight from the kick-off Crieff attacked and a catalogue of missed tackles and gaps allowed Crieff to cross the line and round to under the posts to take, a lead within 2 minutes, converting the try to take a 7-0 lead. click here for full match report

On a day with blue skies and a slight breeze Kinross headed to the seaside, well St. Andrews to play a Madras FP side who were at the top of the chasing pack in the league sitting in deserved 4th place. Saturday the 1st XV headed up to Blairgowrie confident that with last week’s performance, albeit a loss against Orkney similar possession could be translated into points. A day to be proud of – a hard fought encounter with Aberdeen University saw Kinross leave with a victory. The pre match change of venue, the lack of changing facilities and post match farce over getting showers did not detract from a great day for the club. Click here for full match report

Saturday’s match was at time 15 versus 16 and at some times it was demoralising as many decisions went in the favour of the opposition especially when Kinross were reduced to 14 men for 10 minutes as Barney was dubiously sin binned. Click here for full match report & photos
