Linlithgow vs Kinross

21.08.10  Kinross travelled to Linlithgow with a skeleton 15man squad to play their final pre season warm up match.  The signs looked ominous with a strong 30 man Linlithgow  Reds squad comprising of players from all three teams from the National 3 club. click here for full match report

Aberdeen Uni 47 - 5 Kinross

24.04.10 Kinross travelled to the granite city this week knowing that it was do or die on the relegation front, but with injuries and players with other commitments only a 17 man squad could be assembled which included multiple changes from the previous two weeks efforts. click here for full report

 Kinross 13 - 55 Strathmore

17.04.10  After a hard week for every person involved at KRFC, the firsts took to the field at the KGV following a spirited comeback the previous week against the elbow patchers of St Andrews, hoping to continue in the same vein. click here for full report

Kinross 19 - 31 St Andrews Uni

10.04.10 With St Andrews travelling to the KGV as favourites and Kinross still battling for their lives to try and stave off relegation for the third year running, tensions were high and the crowd were expectant of an exciting encounter on a glorious Saturday afternoon in Kinross. click here for full match report

                                             Kinross 26 - 7 Madras

06.03.10 Kinross took to the field for their first game in 3 months to take on fellow Caledonian Division 1 strugglers Madras. This game was being billed as the relegation battle to see who would be joining Crieff in the drop to Caledonian Division 2 – but it is still to early in the season (which should see Kinross play only 1 more game rather than 8) for talk like that! click here for full report

                              Kinross 12 - 12 Ross Sutherland

05.12.09 Ross Sutherland made the lengthy journey from Invergordon and were lucky to go home having split the points with the homesters. Kinross saw the return of the departed Lee Stobie to the wing making his  presence known by touching down for Kinross in the first 5 minutes. This match also saw the return of Kev Stuart to fill in at back row and he again played a pivotal roll. There were some great attacking and defensive plays from the boys who held strong against a determined and well drilled RS team. As with many games, the Kinross penalty count was too high and this ultimately cost them the victory. A tackle by captain Wood in his own 22 in the dying minutes of the game was deemed a deliberate knock on by the referee (a very questionable call to say the least). Ross slotted it and snatch the draw from the jaws of defeat.

 Kinross 8 - 0 Crieff & Strathearn

21.11.09 Kinross played host to fellow Caley 1 strugglers Crieff & Strathearn in a closely fought but rather unentertaining game. The weather was appauling and some of the rugby was even worse. However, a win is a win and preventing Crieff from getting the bonus point may be useful as the relegation battle rages on throughout the season
